वायुद्वयस्य सङ्घट्टादन्तर्वा बहिरन्ततः। योगी समत्वविज्ञानसमुद्गमनभाजनम्॥
vāyudvayasya saṅghaṭṭād antarvā bahir antataḥ | yogī samatvavijñānasamudgamanabhājanam

भीतर जाती और बाहर आती — दोनों वायुओं (श्वासों) के मिलन (संघट्ट) पर ध्यान दो, चाहे वह भीतर हृदय में हो या बाहर द्वादशान्त में। इस मिलन-बिन्दु में टिकने से योगी "समत्व-विज्ञान" — समता की चेतना — के उदय का पात्र बन जाता है।
