षट्शतानि दिवा रात्रौ सहस्राण्येकविंशतिः। जपो देव्याः समुद्दिष्टः सुलभो दुर्लभो जडैः॥
ṣaṭśatāni divā rātrau sahasrāṇy ekaviṃśatiḥ | japo devyāḥ samuddiṣṭaḥ sulabho durlabho jaḍaiḥ

दिन-रात में इक्कीस हज़ार छह सौ (श्वास) — यही देवी का (अजपा) जप कहा गया है: (बुद्धिमानों के लिए) सुलभ, पर जड़ों के लिए दुर्लभ।
English
Day and night, twenty-one thousand six hundred breaths — this is declared the recitation of the Goddess: easy for the wise, hard for the dull (the spontaneous so'ham).
