How to practice
- 1Sense, at the base of the spine, a subtle energy shining like fine rays of light.
- 2Let it rise slowly upward, becoming subtler and subtler as it climbs.
- 3Follow it to the dvādaśānta — about twelve finger-widths above, at or beyond the crown.
- 4There let it grow quiet and dissolve. Rest in the opening — the dawning of Bhairava — that the dissolution leaves.
Practice note. The point is the subtilising and subsiding, not a vivid light-show. If the image becomes effortful, let it soften; the dissolution above is the doorway.
