The Space Within the Heart
Let attention sink into the open space in the centre of the chest and widen there.
▶ Practice this technique5 / 10 / 20 min · eyes closed
How to practice
- 1Bring attention gently to the centre of the chest.
- 2Imagine, or simply feel, an open space there — soft and quiet.
- 3Let breath and feeling settle into that space.
- 4Allow the space to widen until it holds everything calmly.
Practice note. A refuge practice. When emotion is overwhelming, the heart-space gives attention a kind, steady home.
