A complete guitar chord reference with 2,000+ voicings across every root note and every common quality. Each chord has multiple voicings (open, barre, triad, jazz, power), a high-contrast SVG diagram, finger positions, and audio playback — synthesized live via the Web Audio API, so no audio files to download.

How the library is organized

Pick a root note (C, C#, D, D#, E, F, F#, G, G#, A, A#, B) and a quality (major, minor, 7, maj7, m7, dim, dim7, m7b5, aug, sus2, sus4, add9, 6, m6, 9, maj9, m9, 11, 13, 7sus4, 7b9, 7#9, 7b5, 5/power). The library returns every known voicing for that chord, sorted by difficulty.

Multiple voicings per chord

C major alone has at least five standard voicings: open C, C-shape CAGED, G-shape at fret 5, E-shape barre at fret 8, A-shape barre at fret 3. Each voicing fits a different musical context — open for strumming, barres for movable progressions, triads for funky comping, jazz voicings for extended harmony.

Every voicing plays audio

Tap the play button on any diagram. The chord is synthesized in real time from the harmonic series — no audio files, infinite clarity, works offline. You can check if a chord sounds right without picking up a guitar.
